Witch Club Satan — Live at Sonia, Cambridge MA (2026)
The Norwegian trio's first-ever North American tour, captured in a small Cambridge club two weeks before the Bowery Ballroom. No festival production, no big stage. Just three women, the blood, the ritual, and a room that does not know what hit it. The theatre survives the small room. That is the test.

Watch what happens when you take a ritual built for theatres and festivals and compress it into a room this size. Most theatrical bands shrink. The corpse paint starts looking like costume, the gestures start looking rehearsed. Witch Club Satan goes the other way. With the audience close enough to touch, the blood and the ceremony stop being staging and start being confrontation. Nobody in that room is watching a show. They are standing inside one.
That is the test every theatrical band eventually faces, and it is the same one King Diamond passed decades ago: does the act depend on the production, or does the production merely frame the act? On this evidence, the Norwegians carry it in any room.
Next stop for them is a bigger one. They play Brutal Assault in the fortress at Josefov in a matter of days. Between a Massachusetts club and an eighteenth-century military fort, one suspects the fort will feel more like home.
