Inbox — Week 33, 2026

Three this week, and one of them is a milestone: for the first time ever, a band found our Inbox invitation and used it. Maidenhead's death/thrash with two ex-Megadeth guitarists arrived through the front door, next to Raunchy's first album in twelve years and an Iapetus announcement with Eluveitie's Fabienne Erni.

Three albums in the Inbox this week, and a first. Every edition of this format ends with an invitation to email a Bandcamp release worth hearing. This week, for the first time, somebody did.

Raunchy — Prisoner

Denmark · Modern Metal · Mighty Music

The Danish genre-benders’ seventh album and their first in twelve years, released 14 August on the same label that first put them on record back in 2001. Twelve years is long enough for a comeback to become a question mark. The gatefold splatter vinyl sold with a free patch for early orders, which tells you the faithful never left.

Maidenhead — Maximum Clonage

United States · Death/Thrash · Self-released

The milestone. Zack Roberts from this Massachusetts/Rhode Island band read the invitation at the bottom of our Inbox editions and emailed us his album, out 14 August. We checked the claims, because the claims deserved checking: guest guitar from Chris Poland and Glen Drover, both ex-Megadeth, Rich Gray of Annihilator on bass across six of the eight tracks, and a mix by Randy Burns, the man behind classic Megadeth, Death and Kreator records. All confirmed by the metal press. A self-released death/thrash record with that pedigree, delivered straight to our mailbox. This is exactly what the front door is for.

Iapetus — The Mother Void

United States · Progressive Death Metal · Willowtip Announced for 16 October

The progressive death duo’s first album since 2019, a concept record closing a trilogy, with Eluveitie’s Fabienne Erni as featured vocalist and a guest list that includes a Ne Obliviscaris guitarist. Mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren and Tony Lindgren. The first single “Red Giant” is out now, and the preorder is live.
