Fluisteraars is a Dutch atmospheric black metal duo from Bennekom, Gelderland, active since 2009. Their sixth album Jacht der Mysteriën arrives 11 September on Eisenwald: three long compositions, recorded live in one take, then reamped through the hollow cylinder of an abandoned water tower. Ponte Del Diavolo is an Italian band from Turin that calls its sound blackened post punk: doom, black metal and wave under female vocals, driven by two bass players. Every member is named after a poisonous plant. Their second album De Venom Natura turns that poison into a concept.

Emptiness is a Belgian experimental metal band from Brussels, founded in 1998 by two Enthroned members. Their seventh album Nowhere Speaks opens exactly where their 2014 record broke off mid-bar, and closes by looping back to it. Twelve years to resolve one silence.

Deep Dive Walg. Six albums in five years and almost nobody noticed
Walg is a Dutch melodic black metal duo from Groningen, formed in the stillness of the 2021 pandemic. Their sixth numbered album VI came out in June 2026, self-released, with lyrics in Dutch and a song named after a monastery. This is exactly the kind of band the big sites miss.

Deep Dive Bark. The Antwerp band that has been keeping the bad way alive for ten years.
Bark is a Belgian groove and sludge metal band from Antwerp, founded in 2015. Seven releases later they are signed to Suburban Music Group, fronted by Ron Bruynseels, with Martin Furia and Toon Huet on guitars. Their self-imposed bio is the most accurate one-line description of a metal band working today.

Deep Dive Graspop Metal Meeting. The Belgian festival that turned Dessel into a four-day metal city.
Graspop Metal Meeting started in 1996 as a single-Sunday gig in the Belgian village of Dessel. Thirty years later it draws 95,000 visitors across four days, often sells out before the lineup is announced, and books a mid-card that headlines other festivals. Deep Dive Sigh. The Tokyo band that Euronymous signed to Deathlike Silence.
Sigh is a Japanese avant-garde black metal band founded in Tokyo in 1989. Their 1993 debut Scorn Defeat was released on Mayhem founder Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Records shortly after his murder, and remains one of the first records to bridge second-wave black metal into something the genre had never sounded like before.

Deep Dive Wacken Open Air. The German festival that wrote the European metal festival playbook.
