Death metal

Death metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that is known for its deep growls, ramped up tempos, and high-pitched guitar solos. The genre originally grew from thrash metal and was popularized in the 1980s by bands such as Slayer, Morbid Angel, and Metallica.

Death metal has two main subgenres: deathcore and death metal. Deathcore artists use a different vocal style than death metal artists with their vocals often being overlaid over a breakdown section in the song as opposed to a traditional verse or chorus. Deathcore music also has much shorter songs than other forms of death metals at about 2-6 minutes long on average.

Some famous bands of this genre are: Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse,Venom, Decapitaded
