Mastodon

Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. They are known for their progressive music and their concept albums.

Mastodon was founded in 2000 by drummer Brann Dailor, guitarist Bill Kelliher, and bassist/singer Troy Sanders. The three had met while attending high school in Morgan Hill, California; they later moved to Atlanta.

In 2002 the band signed with Relapse Records and released its first full-length album “Remission”. Mastodon signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2006 which would later become known as Warner Bros. Records Inc., a subsidiary of Warner Music Group (WMG).
